My name is Lisiane and it’s great to have you here!
Here’s a quick introduction to who I am, where I’ve been and what I’ve done professionally.
Where are you from?
I am originally Swiss, born in Paris and raised in Senegal, West Africa until I was 19, currently stationed in Germany and planning to move to France some time in the near future.
That makes me a proud born and bred TCK (Third Culture Kid) that has no earthly home. 🙂
Because I was raised trilingual (French, German and English), I don’t master any of these languages to the degree a true native would who only grew up speaking one language. My level in each language increases and decreases depending on the country I’m living in and how much I read, listen and watch in each language. But French is “officially” my mother tongue.
Where have you taught?
I started teaching in 2007 and I’ve taught in two different language schools, a college level school, an evening school for adults and an online school. I’ve taught English and French and I’ve taught in Switzerland, France and Germany.
I’ve enjoyed each season of it and am looking forward to this new season!
Why are you starting this blog?
The reason I am starting my own teaching blog, is because of time restriction. Since having a little one, it’s been much harder for me to plan predictable times for my online lessons. I also know that sometimes students have something personal come up and they can’t make it to the lesson.
So because this is a bit of a bummer for both sides, I thought it would be handy for everyone to be able to “give and take” the lessons whenever suitable!
I am planning on creating a FREE online French course so, if you’re interested, make sure to sign up to stay tuned! 🙂
In the meantime, I’d like to give you advice on how to best study a language in general and give specific tips about learning French – I hope you will find it useful!
If you have any questions or specific things you struggle with, I’d love to hear about it to see how I can serve you best. You can drop me an email at email@example.com
NOW IT’S YOUR TURN! I’D LOVE TO GET TO KNOW YOU!
